HOUSECAT TURNS TIGER TO CHASE OFF BURGLARS!

-

HEROIC kitty Bandit turned from a pussycat into a tiger and saved owner Fred Everitt from a pair of robbers breaking into his home!

Retired 68-year-old oral surgeon Fred was sound asleep in his Belden, Miss., home when a pair of crooks, armed with a pistol and a heavy iron crowbar, began breaking in the back door at 3 a.m.

Snoring Fred was totally out of it, but Bandit, a 20-pound calico cat, heard the ruckus and began to growl loudly in the kitchen before dashing for the bedroom.

The fierce feline’s growls disturbed Fred’s sleep, but when she jumped on his bed, pulled the comforter off him and began clawing his arms, he snapped wide awake.

Bandit’s surprising fury had him wondering: “What in the world is wrong with you?’” He says, “She had never done that before.”

Putting on his robe, he went to the kitchen, where he switched on the light and spied two young guys outside the door.

One was using the crowbar to jimmy the door while the other held the gun.

Fred rushed back to the bedroom and grabbed his own handgun. Luckily, by the time he returned, the robbers had vanished.

“It did not turn into a confrontational situation, thank goodness. I think it’s only because of the cat,” says Fred.

Ironically, he saved Bandit four years ago by adopting the meowser from the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society.

Now, the rescue cat returned the favor.

“You hear of guard dogs,” says Fred. “This is a guard cat.”
