EDDIE’S MONEY — NEVER ENOUGH!

Murphy stalls on making Bev Hills Cop 4 for $25M to hoover up MORE cash

-

COMIC superstar Eddie Murphy inked a deal to pocket $25 million for shooting Beverly Hills Cop 4, but sources say he’s dragging his feet and looking for an even bigger payday.

Sources snitch the 61-yearold dad of ten — worth a whopping $600 million — hasn’t “shot a frame of the Netflix sequel despite committing to a massive $25 million cash deal” and with other reboots like Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick raking in a mind-blowing $1.2 billion worldwide.

“It’s like he’s got that huge payday in the bag, and he’ll get to it in time, but wants to hoover up a ton of quick cash elsewhere just because he can,” says an insider.

“The feeling is that he needs to take a more Tom Cruise– like approach with BHC4 and really throw himself at it and go all in. But right now, Eddie has a lot of irons in the fire and is even developing new stand-up material, which Netflix is also ready to pay a pretty penny to stream on their service.”

Sources believe Eddie’s drive to milk the cash cow is rooted in a secret fear he’ll never have enough dough.

“Eddie came from humble beginnings and only by hard work and dedication made it to where he is today,” notes the insider. “He doesn’t take anything for granted.”

The Trading Places star has a busload to look after.

He’s dad to Eric, 33, with ex-galpal Paulette McNeely; Bria, 32, Miles, 29, Shayne, 27, Zola, 22, and Bella, 20, with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell; Christian, 31, with former girlfriend Tamara Hood; Angel, 15, from his trysts with Spice Girl Melanie Brown, and Izzy, 6, and Max, 3, with current fiancée Paige Butcher.

Notes a source: “He spends some of his money — he still loves his bling — but he’s hoarding the rest of it. He wants to leave a legacy for his kids.”
