DAISY DUKE FAT HAZARD!

Docs warn jelly belly is health risk

-

DUKES of Hazzard alum Catherine Bach’s formerly tight tummy has ballooned to very unhealthy proportions, according to medical experts who fear the onetime sex symbol’s flab could put her in an early grave!

“Catherine has what appears to be visceral body fat deep in the abdomen,” says New York internist Dr. Stuart Fischer. “It’s a risk factor for at least 65 different illnesses — including diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

“This should be a warning to her to lose the weight and eat a healthier diet before it’s too late!”

Now 68 years old, Bach ruled the airwaves in her midriff-baring tops and

hip-hugging shorty-shorts playing Daisy Duke in the late ’70s and ’80s.

But these days, she’s nearly unrecognizable after doctors say she gained 100 pounds to crush the scales at 230!

“Her massive abdominal obesity means she is probably already diabetic and at high risk for a heart attack,” says longevity expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin.

“People with excess fat in the belly usually have excess fat in their liver. Excess fat in the liver creates ‘insulin resistance,’ which causes high blood sugar levels after eating, and then diabetes, which puts her at high risk for heart attacks, strokes and even dementia.”

A concerned pal from Catherine’s starlet days snarks her iconic Daisy Dukes shorts “would have to be an extra large for her to squeeze into them. She needs to take better care of herself — before it’s too late!”

The doctors quoted in this article have not treated Catherine Bach.
