Accused killers creeped out by vengeful corpse
ACCUSED killers Desiree and Octavio Sanchez believe they’re being haunted by the ghost of a teenage relative whose body was left to rot in their Oklahoma basement for three years, lawmen say!
Desiree and Octavio killed his kid sister in their Oklahoma home in 2018 and believe the teen’s vengeful ghost has tormented them ever since, lawmen say.
After a 14-month investigation, Octavio, 35, and his 27-year-old wife were recently arrested and charged with murdering his kid sister, Margarita Sandoval, and hiding her corpse.
Acting on a tip, police say they raided the spooked couple’s Norman residence in May 2021 and discovered the 19-year-old’s rotting body stuffed in a plasticwrapped box.
Relatives told officials Margarita, who had a mental disability, hadn’t been heard from for three years.
Officers say the carton containing the girl’s remains was teeming with bugs, leaking liquid and stank of decomposition.
According to court records, investigators found Facebook messages between the husband and wife which discussed “moving the body around the house due to the smell.”
The coroner ruled the girl’s death was a homicide.
Authorities claim Margarita’s beastly bro told a pal, “Desiree started it, and I had to finish it.”
An arrest affidavit also states, “Desiree confirmed with Octavio that Margarita was haunting her, too. Desiree told Octavio that Margarita knows what she did and that is why she is haunting them.”
Investigators believe the money-hungry murderers continued to collect the dead woman’s disability payments and stimulus checks after her death.
In February 2018 Taylor Hearon, Margarita’s sister, filed a complaint alleging Desiree and Octavio were abusive caretakers.
“As soon as Maggie turned 18, no one saw her anymore, just a big dollar sign,” Taylor charges.
