Wedding whirlwind leaves J.Lo’s hubby looking worn out
HONEYMOONER Ben Affleck looks drained and burned out after his splashy wedding to dominating diva Jennifer Lopez — and sources say his pals worry the stress could plunge him into another booze nightmare.
While the Batman beefcake appears to have remained sober since reuniting with his new bride J.Lo, 53, sources worry the intense pressure of his current high-profile and high-dollar lifestyle could push him over the edge.
“Ben’s loved ones are desperately worried about him,” spills a source. “They’ve never seen him so shattered.
“He’s also burning the candle at both ends, and the consensus is he’s in a dangerous and vulnerable place.”
In recent weeks the hunk was snapped passing out on a love boat in Paris, and slumped in the back of a limo following the couple’s Aug. 20 redo wedding spectacular in Savannah, Ga.
Despite a brief relapse in 2019, the 50-year-old dad of three has been mostly clean and sober since ex-wife Jennifer Garner took him to rehab after he spiraled out of control following their 2018 split.
But GLOBE previously revealed his friends and family are skeptical about his long-term prospects with J.Lo, who ordered him down the aisle at a quickie Vegas wedding weeks before their
A-list blowout.
“The poor guy is up at the crack of dawn, dragged by his nose onto the treadmill by J.Lo,” notes the source. “Then the meetings start about the future of their brand and he’s dealing with hundreds of emails and texts related to his own career — and is desperately trying to make her happy as they honeymoon in Europe. “Throw in his parenting responsibilities and it’s little wonder he’s often passed out on the couch at 9 p.m. “The other worry is he’s surrounded by folks who are drinking and that’s an environment he’s struggled to stay sober in before.”
