SUPERSTUD NFL quarterback Tom Brady is facing a $650 million divorce crisis after his infuriated supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, walked out when he returned to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ training camp over the summer, sources say.
Feeling betrayed, belittled and abandoned by her hubby’s sudden decision to cancel his retirement, sources say the 42-year-old Brazilian beauty told Brady their marriage is facing fourth and long — and she’s passing the ball to her attorneys!
“Tom’s hoping they can work it out, but they’re both talking to lawyers,” a source snitches. “They’re at a definite crisis point!”
The future pro football Hall of Famer and the catwalk cutie got into a massive argument in late July about his return to the game after his retirement — announced Feb. 1 — lasted just 40 days, spies snitch.
Gisele pushed back against her aging hubby’s decision to return to the team — forcing him to abandon camp for 11 days while he tried to calm her down!
But sources insist Gisele wasn’t buying his promises to put the game aside after THIS season, thinking it was just another stall tactic and his return to football showed where his real loyalty lies.
After a string of brutal arguments, the bamboozled bombshell gathered up the kids — Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, and Jack, the quarterback’s 15-year-old son with former galpal Bridget Moynahan — and abandoned Tom, heading for Costa Rica! After a long stay in the Central American nation, she and the children made a splash at a Miami waterpark — with the Super Bowl sensation nowhere in sight. Insiders say Gisele believes Tom blatantly lied to her about giving up the game and has committed the ultimate marital sin by completely shirking his responsibilities as a husband and a father while risking brain damage on the playing field. But apparently for Brady, it’s all about the game.
“I just felt like I had a little left. And I want to give it a shot,” he explained after coming out of retirement. “I owed it to my teammates and our great coaches and our whole organization.”
But Gisele feels like he’d once again turned his back on the team that should’ve mattered the most — his family, according to a spy.
“Look, Tom’s 45 years old and most guys in the game retire a full decade before they reach his age,” the source notes.
“She understands he’s a competitive athlete, but also believes he has broken his promise to be fully available to their family!”
As GLOBE has reported, Gisele’s feelings of abandonment have left the marriage on the brink of crisis for years!
In 2020, Tom admitted to Howard Stern that Gisele was unhappy to be little more than a bench player in their relationship — and her resentment was growing because she had to be both parents at home!
“She’s sitting there going, ‘Well, when are you going to do things for the house? When are you going to take the kids to school and do that?’” Tom admitted. “So I needed to make a change in that.”
But any hope Tom would start pulling his weight around the house vanished when he made his end-around and announced he would return for yet another season — even though he inked a $375 million, ten-year deal to be the top NFL analyst for FOX after he retires. Insiders say the contract was a marriage bandaid that wouldn’t stick!
“Tom and Gisele ALREADY have more money than they know what to do with!” the insider snitches. “She wants him to be a REAL partner and to feel like she and the kids are his top priority.
“She’s given him plenty of chances to prove that and he’s come up short.”
