CHEAP CLAPTON STIFFED LAYLA!

-

STUNNING rock musician’s muse Pattie Boyd inspired huge hits, but says ex-hubby Eric Clapton stiffed her over promised royalties to his classic tune Layla.

Guitar god Clapton became obsessed with Boyd, now 78 and an author, and wrote Layla for her in 1970 while she was still wed to his pal, Beatles star George Harrison.

Two years after her 1977 divorce from Harrison, she wed Clapton, but when they split in 1989, she says: “I asked for that in my divorce and he said, ‘Are you kidding?’

“That’s why I have to write books.”
