KING CHARLES, 73, IS HEARTBEAT FROM DEATH!

Royal family bracing for imminent tragedy — just weeks after burying the queen

BRITAIN’S new King Charles may not live long enough to be officially crowned at a gala ceremony — because he’s secretly dying from a fatal heart condition, stunned sources reveal!

With 73-year-old Charles’ official coronation service at least several months away, his son Prince William, 40, was told by doctors to stand by — and be ready to assume the throne at any moment — because the new monarch is a heartbeat away from death, a palace courtier tells GLOBE.

But Charles himself is ignoring the grim warnings and pushing hard to put his stamp on the monarchy — no matter how short his reign — after a lifetime of waiting in the wings to confront his destiny.

After his 96-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth, died on Sept. 8, grief-stricken Charles plunged into a grueling, sevenday, 2,000-mile whirlwind tour of England, trying to show he was capable of taking over the throne.

But it backfired, say sources. Graphic photos of his shockingly swollen fingers — bloated like plump sausages — sparked renewed fears his health is on a dangerous downward spiral. Now doctors are warning he’s on the brink of fatal cardiac arrest — and apparently ignoring the danger signs.

“The condition causing his swelling is called edema,” says New York internist Dr. Stuart Fischer. “The added water retention is a burden on the heart. A weak heart cannot pump normally and fluid backs up into the veins, interfering with circulation. It’s called

congestive heart failure.”

Another doctor echoes the deadly diagnosis saying, “Swollen hands and feet are both signs of heart failure.”

Palace insiders also fear Charles’ two bouts with COVID-19 took a devastating toll and his recent unhinged rages are boosting his blood pressure to deadly levels.

“Charles kept his composure during the queen’s day-long funeral and final private burial, but he lost it behind palace doors,” says the high-level courtier.

“I’m told he had a fiery emotional collapse, telling his wife, Camilla, his new life was too much for him. He was

exhausted and panicked at what lies ahead as king — and said he couldn’t deal with it. “It’s clear Charles is living on a knife-edge and could explode at any moment.”

Now, the palace courtier sadly predicts: “His reign will be one of the shortest of the last 200 years.

“He’s desperately trying to keep a lid on his failing health and look like a strong successor to his amazing mother, Elizabeth. But the truth is his future looks grim. “Prince William has been warned to be ready to assume the monarch’s duties at a moment’s notice!”

The new king publicly exposed his frustrations with sharp snaps of temper after Her Majesty died.

He bluntly chewed out a royal aide over a pen case left on a table as he signed documents of accession, and later blew his stack when another pen leaked on him while signing a visitors’ book in Northern Ireland.

“Charles should have laughed off these trivial things, but he exploded — in public!” says the palace insider.

“It’s not lost on his family this would never have happened with the queen — and Charles needs to rethink if he’s up to his inherited new role.

“The evidence points to him facing his last days — and he knows it! He’s already rewriting royal rules on who can stand in for him if he becomes incapacitated.”

Definitely OUT are his son Prince Harry, 38, who quit royal duties in 2020 for a new life in California with wife Meghan, 41, and his scandal-plagued brother Prince Andrew, 62.

Randy Andy was stripped of royal duties over his links to late pedophile billionaire

Jeffrey Epstein, and his multimillion-dollar payoff to sex slave Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of rape — which he still denies. Word is Andrew is being exiled to the Bahamas — and ordered never to set foot in Britain again!

“After William, as heir to the throne, Charles wants his sister, Princess Anne, William’s wife, Kate, and his brother Prince Edward to step up,” says the source.

“They’re willing to do anything to save the monarchy.

“William can’t imagine losing his grandmother and father within months of each other, but he is ready to take over.

“The future of the royals lies on him like a heavy, visible weight.”
