Shocking fears for gaunt Ticket to Paradise beauty
JULIA ROBERTS’ scaryskinny new promo tour — with hubby Danny Moder nowhere in sight — has triggered fears the Pretty Woman’s wasting away from stress due to marriage woes, insiders dish.
Instead of being escorted by Danny, 53, the gaunt 54-yearold star has been making stops with friend and Ticket to Paradise co-star George Clooney, including an appearance at the History Talks event in Washington, D.C.
Sources claim Julia and her hubby of two decades have been leading separate lives and have little in common besides their three kids, 17-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and 15-year-old Henry.
“Julia puts a brave face on things, but for months now her and Danny’s friends have been openly talking about them spending way less time together and wondering how much longer they can paper over the very obvious cracks that exist between them,” spills an insider. “It’s very clear neither of them wants a divorce. They’re devoted parents with a lot of love for each other still. But Danny’s a surfer dude at heart who doesn’t much care for being Julia’s arm candy.
“Also she’s still intent on moving out of L.A. and that’s never going to be cool with him. The result is a standoff with no compromise in sight.”
Tipsters tattle the stress and anxiety are taking their toll on the actress just as she and Clooney are promoting their new romantic comedy.
“Julia’s motto is and always has been, ‘the show must go on,’ ” says the source. “But anyone can see she’s very thin right now and obviously super stressed about what’s going on in her marriage.
“It’s even harder for her to be around other couples like George and Amal, who are together as a unit and packing on the PDA.
“Danny never went for any of that stuff and Julia’s feeling very alone at the moment.”
