270-lb. chunk wants to wear a slimline tux
TUBBY Gladiator star Russell Crowe is gearing up to marry galpal Britney Theriot by slowly shedding pounds so he can fit into a tailored tux.
The 58-year-old chunk and 31-year-old Britney have been a twosome for two years, but made their first red-carpet appearance at the Oct. 16 premiere of his new flick, Poker Face, in Rome, where he’s also shooting The Pope’s Exorcist.
An insider tattles the burly hunk, who carries a hefty 270 pounds on his 5-foot-9 frame, “has been planning a wedding with Britney for a while now and working on getting his weight down to a friendlier tuxedo size.
“He’s not crash-dieting, he’s doing it the natural and organic way for once. It’s a slow process and more about cutting back on things that aren’t good for his waistline and not eating after a certain time of night as opposed to doing some diet fad where he’ll just pack it all back on again.”
The once hot-tempered star, who’s been divorced from baby mom actress Danielle Spencer since 2018, has been mellowed by Britney, say sources, who note exlover Meg Ryan tried, and failed, at the same task.
“They fit well together, and she makes him happy,” says the insider.
