Won’t back down as sponsors cancel megabucks deals over shocking rants
CRACKED Kanye West is digging in his heels and refusing to back down over his shocking anti-Semitic rants on social media — even though the radioactive rapper’s business partners are running for the hills, sources say.
“For Kanye, this backlash just supports the belief he’s held for most of his entire life — he’s this misunderstood genius whose critics aren’t able to follow or appreciate his supreme intellect,” an insider tells GLOBE.
“He has always referred to himself as this modern-day Picasso and, even when the chips are down, there’s not a shred of self doubt that he’ll become even more powerful and wealthier than ever!”
But his sponsors obviously don’t agree — and now his billion-dollar music and fashion empire is eroding!
German sportswear giant Adidas dropped wild West like a funky sneaker, calling Kanye’s incendiary comments about Jews “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous.” Adidas kicked him to the curb even though the company stands to lose $250 million!
West’s lucrative partnerships with Balenciaga and Gap also fizzled out. Even his talent agency, CAA, and bank, JPMorgan Chase, cut ties with the 45-year-old gasbag. His ex-wife and baby mom, Kim Kardashian, says she “stands together with the Jewish community!”
After the bipolar music icon lost Adidas, financial experts believe cuckoo Kanye is in danger of losing his billionaire status.
Still, sources insist he will not budge, despite Twitter and Instagram restricting the father of four’s accounts after his foul frothings.
“Even if he eventually decides to apologize for the anti-Semitism — and that’s something he really doesn’t feel he should have to do — he’s going to remain defiant,” spills a source.
“He still has a whole lot of yes folks around him who feed his ego and tell him he’s this modern-day saint — and that just strokes his ego even more!”
