The latest chapter in a long-simmering family feud pits Jerry Lee’s daughter Phoebe, 59, against her siblings Lee, 35, and Lori, 50, and stepmother Judith, 73, amid ugly allegations of elder abuse and pill pushing!
The Killer’s cash and future royalties are at the center of the dispute following his Oct. 28 death in his Nesbit, Miss., home after a bout with pneumonia, sources say.
“It’s believed Jerry Lee left his money to wife Judith — and that sticks in Phoebe’s craw and then some,” a family friend says.
“Phoebe managed her father’s career for ten years before Judith shoved her out of the way and she feels she was never properly compensated for it.
“Phoebe thinks she is being denied her father’s legacy and wants to fight for what she believes is a rightful share.”
The roots of the feud were planted when Phoebe hired her aunt Judith Brown to be the Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On singer’s personal caretaker in 2010.
Later that year, Judith divorced Phoebe’s uncle Rusty and married Jerry Lee in 2012. Within days of the marriage, Jerry Lee dumped his daughter as manager, replacing her with Judith and the feud hit overdrive!
Phoebe’s husband, Zeke Loftin, took to the internet claiming Judith and Jerry Lee’s youngest child, Lee, were “feeding Jerry pills and keeping him locked away from reality.”
He also claimed “law enforcement and adult protective services are not doing their job with due diligence.”
The unproven allegations led Jerry Lee, Judith, Lori and Lee to file a $1 million defamation lawsuit against Loftin that was eventually dismissed in 2019. “But the damage was already done,” another pal notes. “The various family members have never patched things up, and you knew when Jerry Lee passed the feud would erupt again. “They saw each other at Jerry Lee’s funeral — and they’re likely to see each other again in court!”
