New White House run threatens to destroy marriage!
FORMER President Donald Trump’s roving eye and obsession with returning to the White House have driven a wedge between the billionaire and his long-suffering wife, Melania, according to sources, who say they are now living separate lives!
Although the troubled couple both still reside at Donald’s Mar-a-Lago golf resort in Florida, insiders spill the pair can’t stand each other, spend almost no time together and sleep in different bedrooms!
“The former president and Melania have a very unique arrangement,” reveals an insider. “They live separate lives that rarely intersect and have done so for some time. Donald is content to host elaborate dinners for Republican officials and pursue his political career and agenda — and Melania has absolutely no interest in participating.
“She rarely appears at his events and lives apart from him at the club.”
Sources say Melania, 52, is instead content to take her twice-daily treatments at the resort spa, play mother to their 16-year-old son, Barron, and spend time with her foreignborn parents, who have their own suite at Mar-a-Lago and often stay for weeks at a time.
“She mostly keeps to herself and stays out of Donald’s way as long as he stays out of hers,” says the insider. “It works for both of them.”
The rift has been building for years, spies dish.
The former first lady departed from long-established precedent by not joining her hubby in the White House until four months after his 2017 inauguration.
Instead, she remained in New York City at Donald’s Trump Tower luxury apartment complex until Barron finished his school year.
Even after she arrived in Washington, D.C., sources say she lived on an entirely different floor from Donald in the hallowed executive mansion.
“The truth is Melania never had any aspirations to be first lady and was disgusted by the allegations of Donald’s cheating that emerged during the campaign,” says a source, who adds she was “horrified” when he won the 2016 election, which neither of them thought would ever happen. “Melania never wanted to move to D.C., and it’s been a source of conflict and resentment in their marriage ever since,” dishes the source. “Melania is even said to have used her move to Washington as leverage to renegotiate their prenup agreement.”
Since they left the White House following Donald’s devastating defeat in the 2020 election, Melania has only been publicly spotted in his company six times outside of Mar-a-Lago — most recently at the funeral of Donald’s exwife Ivana Trump in July. “Melania is content to live a life of luxury in return for being available for appearances’ sake — which is all that Donald asks of her in return,” explains the source.
But that comfortable arrangement could soon be upended, spies claim.
The source warns huge storm clouds are gathering on the horizon as Donald expresses interest in seeking a second term in the Oval Office.
The former president, 76, has relentlessly hinted he’ll make a run in 2024. Meanwhile, Melania is said to have remained firm in her commitment to NOT go back to Washington.
“She’s given him a very clear ultimatum, saying there’s no way she’ll spend another four years as first lady,” dishes the source. “She had no desire to serve that role in the first place and refuses to do it again.
“Neither one of them is giving an inch of ground on the topic. At some point, push is going to come to shove, and one of them will have to back down. But Melania vows it won’t be her!”
