Martha, Giada & Rachael all want to prove they’re the toast of town
JEALOUS kitchen queens Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray and Giada De Laurentiis are locked in a sizzling catfight to be top chef for the holidays, according to spies who say the gals are serving heaping helpings of steaming ego! “There’s no friendship — and they don’t even like one another,” dishes an insider, who loves to stir the pot.
“Sure, they plaster on smiles if they bump into each other at events, but they each think they’re the best at what they do — and backbite behind the scenes.”
The cattiest cook is 81-year-old Martha, who considers herself America’s reigning domestic goddess, spies say. With a series of hit kitchen shows under her belt, Martha feels syndicated Ray, 54, and Food Network diva De Laurentiis, 52, are mere copycats, says the mole.
“As usual, Martha is tossing advice around about Christmas feasts and decorating,” dishes the insider.
“She also brags she makes better Italian food than Giada and her meat sauce is way more delicious — despite Giada being born in Italy!
“Whenever Martha senses one of them has the edge, it sends her into a jealous huff that lasts for days!
“She had a full-blown meltdown recently when a review named Giada’s lobster roll as yummier than hers!
“Martha also picks on Rachael for talking too much.”
Meanwhile, Giada “is no fan of Rachael since she lost a cookout to her. The spicy Italian doesn’t like to lose.”
Giada says of Rachael: “Do we hang out all the time? No. Are we best friends? No.
“We do these festivals together, and she’ll say to me, ‘Oh, we’d better take a picture together and smile.’”
