Picking your nose causes dementia
✚ PICKING your nose is rude and yucky, but a new study has a better reason to quit the disgusting habit — it may up the risk for DEMENTIA. According to Professor James St. John at Australia’s Griffith University, picking can damage the inside of the nostril and create a quick pathway for bacteria to leak into the blood and zoom right to the brain. A study found within months of digging for nose snails, the bacteria had grown protein plaque clusters linked to Alzheimer’s in rats’ brains.
