PRICE UP TO HIS OLD HAUNTS!

GHOULISH VINCENT PRICE plays a host who locks his five guests in the House on Haunted Hill to see who can survive the night in the creaky old mansion. The 1959 horror film directed and produced by schlockmeister William Castle featured carnival props. He also instructed movie theaters to rig what he dubbed “Emergo” — a pulley system that flew a plastic skeleton over the audience!

The flick, co-starring RICHARD LONG and CAROLYN CRAIG, inspired Alfred Hitchcock to make Psycho the following year.
