In their last year, Juan Carlos, who was forced to abdicate in 2014 and fled to Abu Dhabi amid corruption and money laundering charges, symbolically proposed to Corinna with an emeraldcut diamond ring during a romantic candlelit dinner.

The lovers had been caught by his furious wife, Queen Sofia, at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.
“Suddenly, Queen Sofia bursts into the room with a face like thunder,” recalls Corinna. “She pointed at me and said, ‘I know who you are.’ I obviously wanted to disappear into the ground.”
So did cheating Juan Carlos, who “seemed completely taken aback and unable to actually cope with this aggression,” Corinna dishes.
During their affair, Carlos juggled costly gifts and huge amounts of cash.
“He would call someone up who had a great château of Bordeaux wines and say, ‘I
really love these wines, and could you send me some?’
“And the next thing you’d know, 20 cases of this priceless wine would arrive,” she says.
“I’d see him come back from trips, there’d be bags full of cash, and you go, ‘Oh my God, what’s that, and it’s like, ‘Oh this is from my friend so-and-so.’ ”
In 2012, he had her deposit $69 million into her account and then became “ruthless and unhinged,” spying on and harassing her until she returned it, she claims.
The beauty is currently suing her ex-lover for alleged harassment and stalking.
