PARANOID SAJAK MAKES VANNA’S LIFE PURE HELL!
Fears beauty is bosses’ pick to take over Wheel
JEALOUS Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak has been bitterly dissing his old pal and sidekick Vanna White because he believes the lovely letter-turner has been tagged to take over his job as bigwigs try to drive him into retirement, spies tattle.
Embattled Sajak, 76, has even been “belittling and badgering Vanna on air” because “he’s not happy about where things stand between him and the bosses,” squeals a spy.
“His usual teasing of Vanna has taken a more sinister turn. He seems to be on this jealous campaign against her, to torment her, wear her down and maybe even make her quit so he can be a top dog again.”
Pat made Vanna, 65, visibly squirm with unflattering comments about her sequined dress at the end of one Wheel segment, snarking: “Does that dress run by battery or do you plug it in?”
Vanna, however, kept her cool and quipped: “You would think, huh? Yep!”
Sources say the beauty maintains a professional mask when Sajak is being a jerk.
“Everyone agrees when he orders her to ‘Move a little faster!’ it isn’t very nice, especially since she’s wearing heels,” says the source.
“Vanna’s made a lot of excuses for him, but now she just thinks it’s sad and pathetic he has to be this way.”
Sajak’s eyebrow-raising antics seem to be getting worse.
He insulted a contestant’s lisp, barked at another for “making sound effects” while he was talking, and snapped at a player for being “ungrateful.”
He fills his Twitter feed with not-so-funny jokes, often aimed at viewers.
He also seemingly tried to embarrass Vanna by asking if she watched opera in the nude and whether she takes cold showers.
Pat recently claimed his four-decade run as Wheel’s frontman was approaching its climax saying, “The end is near.”
Adds the source, “The truth is, Pat’s being squeezed by bosses because they’re fed up with his increasingly caustic statements and embarrassing gaffes.”
GOOD Morning America anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have been deep-sixed by worried ABC execs who fear the married co-hosts’ sordid affair will destroy TV’s top-rated show!
Now the cheating sweethearts, who were “indefinitely suspended” by the network on Dec. 5, are fighting for their professional lives — even as their marriages crumble!
Insiders dish Holmes, who’s been accused of bedding a bevy of other ABC cuties, is resigned to his fate and demanding a hefty buyout to fade into the woodwork. Rocked Robach is also hanging tough, spies tattle, after she and her lover tried to brazen it out on air when news of their hookups first broke.
But by Dec. 5, the lovebirds were replaced by Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez as reeling network execs tried to figure things out.
“There is massive confusion internally,” dishes a source, who says ABC News executive Kim Godwin warned staffers “to stop the whispering in the hallways. She told them, ‘You know, we can’t operate with gossip, and speculation and rumors. We need to stay focused on the work.’”
But that was hard to do as shocking photos surfaced showing Robach, 49, and Holmes, 46, giggling at a bar and holding hands in the back of an Uber while heading to her apartment. Holmes was also caught on camera patting Amy’s fanny!
Sources say Robach is claiming she split with her Melrose Place star hubby, Andrew Shue, 55, back in August. Holmes insists he and lawyerwife Marilee Fiebig, 44, split that month, too, according to
sources.
But Fiebig was “blindsided” and “devastated” by the affair, according to a mole, who notes both anchors’ marriages only lasted 12 years.
Amy and T.J.’s affair is believed to have ignited in March when they trained for a marathon run together. Still, buzz that they were carrying on a steamy romance had been whispered in ABC’s corporate corridors since 2017! At one point, a source says GMA veteran Robin Roberts pulled them aside and demanded: “Stop it!”
In response, worried Holmes ran to executive producer Michael Corn, swearing “it was absolutely not true, and it freaked them out,” says another source.
Adds a third tattler: “He was a correspondent at the time, and he didn’t want Robin thinking that about him. He went to [ABC brass] and got ahead of it to dismiss it because it wasn’t true.”
But last May — before they split from their spouses — the new couple were spied “canoodling” in a Big Apple bar, according to an insider.
Before their suspensions, Robach was seen moving out of the apartment she shared with Shue.
She and Holmes reportedly spent the weekend shacked up in a romantic cottage in the Shawangunk Mountains.
Following a Nov. 10 taping, the pair were spied getting cozy at a bar.
Now they’ve been outed, but a source says: “They’re not ashamed. They’re two consenting adults, who ended up loving each other.”
Meanwhile, Holmes refuses to be a fall guy for the network and will demand a megamillion-dollar payoff before he slinks away, predict sources. “It’s become painfully apparent to everyone they can’t just blame T.J. as this skirt-chasing dog, like former Today anchor Matt Lauer,” who was axed over sexual harassment charges in 2017, dishes an insider. He reportedly is ready to raise “the biggest stink possible and take a whole lotta folk down with him,” tattles the insider. “Still T.J. and Amy know they’re on borrowed time, in spite of their blatant defiance. “The bosses just want to tread water and ride this out until a payoff is arranged down the line. “T.J. and Amy are smirking and trying to weasel their way out of this sleaze.”
