BIGMOUTH BLAKE STICKS IN KELLY’S CRAW!
Fed up with Shelton’s constant boasts about bailing on The Voice
COUNTRY cowpoke Blake Shelton’s loud boasts about quitting The Voice have left cohost Kelly Clarkson fit to be tied, tipsters tattle.
The 40-year-old Breakaway songbird is super ticked off with Blake for walking right when she’s about to return to the hit talent competition after taking a year off to handle a nasty divorce and a new talk show, sources say.
“Kelly was initially devastated he’s not going to be there, but now thinks it’s pretty sneaky and tacky of him to gloat about all the free time he’s going to have,” dishes an insider.
“A lot of the other talent and bosses were also freaked and wondering how things would survive without Blake.
“He’s always been a bit of a self-promoter, but they let it slide before because he was so popular with contestants and viewers.”
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old No Body crooner is shouting from the rooftops he’s done with the show — after 11 years — and it’s leaving a sour taste with bosses and colleagues, according to spies.
“I’ve had people say, ‘Man, come on. You’re not quitting The Voice [to do] nothing!’
Blake wants more time with wife Gwen
But I really am,” Shelton blabs. “Please, I’m accepting ideas.”
A member of The Voice’s original crew with Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green, Blake says he stayed so long because “it’s a hard thing for me to let go of.”
The Oklahoma homeboy is splitting in the spring to spend more time with wife pop princess wife Gwen Stefani, a former Voice star, and her boys, Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 8.
He’ll also be working on his new celebrity drinking game contest show, Barmageddon, hosted by WWE wrestling queen Nikki Bella with Voice host Carson Daly slinging booze and Blake singing with the house band.
“Nobody with The Voice is wishing Blake anything but the best, but what does stick in the craw is how loud and obnoxious he’s being about it on his way out the door,” spills an insider.
