Eager to savor life after mom’s deathbed advice
AGING cougar Cher is in a mad dash to wed boytoy Alexander “A.E.” Edwards after getting deathbed advice from her beloved mother, insiders say.
Before 96-year-old Georgia Holt passed on Dec. 11, Cher kept gushing about her romance with the young music exec — and a spy snitches her mother told her to grab happiness with both hands “because tomorrow isn’t ever guaranteed.”
While others have slammed Cher, 76, for the 40-year age-gap romance, “Georgia always thought outside the box like Cher does,” a friend snitches. “She told Cher she shouldn’t delay happiness. Cher’s really taking that to heart now.”
However, Cher’s inner circle isn’t so gung-ho about the Believe singer, who’s worth a whopping $360 million, getting hitched to 36-yearold Edwards. He’s admitted cheating on his last girlfriend, model Amber Rose, mother of his three-year-old son, Slash, and friends fear the Moonstruck beauty could share a similar fate.
But Cher — single since divorcing second husband Greg Allman in 1979 — believes she has a match made in heaven!
“In recent years Cher has had some little flings she didn’t expose to the world,” another source tattles. “But she’s shouting her love for Alexander from the rooftops, going out in public and crushing on him on social media.”
The death of her mom also made Cher realize “you have to grab the brass ring while you can,” says another pal.
“She wants someone to be with for the remainder of her days and Alexander makes her feel young and alive and that’s all that matters.”
Still, pals are urging her to slam on the brakes.
“She just lost her mother, and we worry that she is going to do something rash before she even takes time to process her grief,” the friend says.
“But Cher seems hell-bent on having a quickie wedding as soon as possible after the first of the year.”
