Dishing on Robin, George & crew if fired over affair with co-anchor T.J.
FEELING the freeze at Good Morning America over her scandalous affair with co-host T.J. Holmes, insiders say brazen Amy Robach’s planning the ultimate revenge if she gets axed — a blow-the-lid-off, tell-all book.
Sources snitch the disgraced 49-yearold morning show anchor, whose messy romance with T.J., 45, is under review by ABC, is lining up who her real friends are — and they don’t include GMA stars George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, Ginger Zee and Robin Roberts!
“Amy’s being defiant and smiling in the face of the firing squad at ABC,” spills an insider. “She will not let them kick her to the curb without a fight and feels she’s got nothing to be ashamed of.
“Amy knows the ins and outs of that place and who did what to whom, and she means to take it public.”
Amy and T.J. were indefinitely suspended from their gigs after ABC chief Kim Godwin called their affair “an internal and external distraction.”
According to spies, the romance fired up in March when Amy and T.J. competed in a marathon and led to the crash of their marriages in August.
Amy’s divorce from Melrose Place alum Andrew Shue is close to being finalized, while T.J.’s estranged spouse, Marilee Fiebig, is said to be devastated by news of the affair.
“Amy’s saying the relationship with T.J. didn’t happen until after she separated from Andrew, but no one’s buying it,” dishes the insider.
In the meantime, Amy’s also singling out the turncoats, especially Roberts, who was one of Amy’s biggest supporters during her breast cancer ordeal a few years ago, according to sources.
Although her rep insists she has no intention of spilling the beans, the insider blabs, “Robin’s icing her out now and Amy’s going to make her pay for it.”
In an interview with The Morning Show actress Reese Witherspoon before the scandal broke, Amy joked that she could give the actress “a few more plotlines” for the fictional Apple+ show based on GMA.
“She wasn’t joking when she said she could dish dirt,” says the insider. “She’s got a ton!”
