New congressman Santos tangled in shocking web of lies

-

NEWLY elected Republican congressman George Santos is caught in a massive scandal — accused of lying about his sexual orientation, his Jewish roots, his employment history, education, marriage and residency — triggering outraged charges he’s nothing but a cagey con man!

New York State

Attorney General

Letitia James is probing Santos’ bizarre behavior — and has asked the feds to help — after the 34-year-old was apparently caught in a series of bald-faced lies that are wild even by Washington, D.C., standards!

Here’s just some of the fake news he spread about himself:

+ Declared in October, “I am openly gay and have never had an issue with my sexual identity in the past decade,” claiming he married a male pharmacist in New York. However, there are no records to support this claim — but documents indicate he divorced Brazilian beauty Uadla Vieira just days before launching his campaign!

+ Insisted he was born in Queens, N.Y., to Brazilian immigrants — and his grandparents were Jews who fled Nazi leader Adolf Hitler’s death camp Holocaust. Investigators charge this is an outright lie.

+ Claimed he worked for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs financial groups, but neither company has any record indicating he was a former employee, according to investigators who say Santos’ story that four of his employees were killed in the 2016 massacre at Florida’s Pulse, a gay nightclub, was another whopper.

+ Told voters he graduated from Baruch College, which has no records of his attendance, and pulled down a $750,000 salary and $1 million in dividends from the family-owned Devolder Organization, yet failed to list any clients he’d served.

+ Said he ran a nonprofit animal rescue, Friends of Pets United, for five years, but the charity was trashed by the IRS, which has no listing for the group!

Meanwhile, investigators contend Santos was also charged with check fraud in Brazil — and he didn’t disclose that little nugget during his campaign, which flipped a Democrat-held congressional seat representing parts of Long Island into the Republican column.

Santos’ lawyer charges the scandal is a political smear campaign, but didn’t actually refute the claims facing his client. Neither did the political newbie, who promised to tell his story at some vague point in the future.

However, Santos insists he intends to “deliver the results I campaigned on — public safety, inflation, education and more.” Sure.
