PLAY HARDBALL WITH HARRY!

Fed-up William issues ultimatum to waffling Charles

-

FURIOUS Prince William is fed up with his father Charles pussyfooting around the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and slapped the new king with a cheeky ultimatum: It’s me or Harry!

Sources reveal first-born William, 40, can’t understand why Charles continues to take such a lily-livered approach to Harry and his American wife, Meghan, who have repeatedly trashed the royal family in public, instead of standing up to the brats.

“He doesn’t agree with the monarch’s strategy of ignoring the Sussexes and letting them hang themselves,” spills an insider.

“If anything, it’s just given Harry and Meghan more confidence to run riot with the full knowledge there are no consequences because the royals seem too scared or timid to retaliate.”

But fuming William “wants to fight fire with fire” and is pushing “his father to send a very clear message that there will be no apology, no concessions, no compromises or red-carpet rollouts in 2023 for the Sussexes, barring a total backdown and radical change of attitude on their part, which he knows is almost impossible,” says the insider.

A courtier reveals the heir to the throne has the support of Queen Consort Camilla and “99.9 percent of the royals, who are imploring Charles to publicly disown Harry and tell the world future king William comes first.”

Shockingly, Charles has done the opposite!

“He’s gone against William and Kate’s wishes and invited Harry and Meghan to his coronation in May — and His Majesty intends to keep his word in spite of Harry’s book sending tremors through the palace,” the courtier says.

As GLOBE previously reported, jealousy between the brothers began years ago when they were boys, due to William being the heir and Harry the spare.

The rift intensified when Harry and Meghan quit their roles as senior royals and moved to America.

Sources confide to GLOBE Harry’s memoir Spare, which comes on the heels of the Sussexes’ royal-bashing Netflix documentary, is cuttingly critical of William and Kate while Charles is spared the brunt of their condemnation.

But despite the turmoil, “Charles refuses to relinquish hope that Harry will come around,” notes the insider. “He will not give up on his secondborn son.”

But William sees it as weakness.

“As far as William is concerned, Harry is dead to him and Charles needs to realize that his brother is a troublemaker and should never be

allowed back into the fold,” dishes the insider.

“William thinks Harry has not only turned up his nose at every royal protocol they were taught, but he’s also breached the brotherly bond.”

Harry’s recent comments while promoting his book have fueled William’s white-hot wrath.

“I would like to get my father back, I would like to have my brother back, but they’ve shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile,” Harry says in one British TV interview.

And he told CBS 60 Minutes journalist Anderson Cooper, he was “betrayed” by royal “briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife.”

Notes the insider: “The more Harry tries to lay blame on the monarchy as a whole, the more hardened his brother becomes.

“William’s scoffed at Harry’s feeble attempts to worm his way back into the hearts of the British people. The damage has been done and there’s no going back.

“William is telling Charles he had better see that, or he can expect no help from him or Kate.”
