Docs cut wrestler’s nerves so he can’t feel his lower body
WWE legend Hulk Hogan’s powerful body made him rich and famous in the wrestling ring, but now he may be tragically hobbled and forced to use a cane with no feeling from the waist down after surgery to remove his nerves, insiders tattle!
After decades of dealing with agonizing back problems, the 6-foot-7, 302-pound bruiser had an operation stripping out his nerves, according to wrestler pal Kurt Angle, who insists the Hulkster’s lower body is essentially numb.
But 69-year-old Hogan, a.k.a. Terry Bollea, released a photo showing him standing unaided at a Florida bar on Jan. 30 — but didn’t comment on Angle’s bombshell.
Angle insists the six-time WWE champion told him “he had the nerves cut from his lower body, he can’t feel his lower body. So, he has to use his cane to walk around. I thought he was using the cane because he has pain in his back.
“He doesn’t have any pain, he has nothing at all. He can’t feel anything. He can’t feel his legs. So he has to walk with a cane which is, you know, that’s pretty serious, man.” Many pro wrestlers have been forced to retire after the extreme sport wreaked havoc on their bodies.
Last year, Hulk’s daughter, Brooke, said her dad went under the knife 25 times during his 35-year career.
Hulk himself once admitted, “My knees are fake, hips are fake, back is full of metal and part of my face is full of metal.” He hasn’t wrestled since 2013. In 2006, following a painful knee injury, he admitted the writing was on the wall saying, “I’m beginning to learn I’m a lot older. And with age, it’s tough to be the same dependable guy I’ve been in the past. I realize that as I get up there in age, I can’t go on forever.”
