HARRIED HARRY IS BACK ON THE SAUCE!
New royal fears for prince who swore off booze in 2018
STRESSED-OUT Prince Harry is back on the booze and while he insists his drinking is under control, King Charles and his inner circle worry the runaway royal son is heading for disaster!
Facing fierce fallout over his tell-all memoir, Spare, and TV interviews dredging up all the royal family dirt, the 38-yearold Duke of Sussex appears to be caving under pressure, according to royal sources.
“Harry’s always had a problem with moderation and drank as a means to cope in the past,” says an insider. “The fact he’s on the grog again now is a real red flag when he’s stressed out of his mind — no matter how much he pretends everything’s okay in his life.”
Harry himself recently admitted he took drugs and “drank heavily” to numb himself out as an adult after abusive episodes as a teen.
The duke recently raised eyebrows during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Observers say he looked tense when he arrived at the studio with a guard carrying a Glock lockbox, typically used for a handgun and ammo.
Then Harry downed two shots of tequila after participating in the Colbert Questionert quiz, which sources say seemed to calm him down. He left the studio appearing flushed and in a chipper mood — and even waved to fans as he ducked into a waiting SUV.
“The worry is this could turn into a problem because one drink seems to lead to another, and if he starts selfmedicating, it could explode into a serious habit,” warns the insider, who notes Prince
William’s kid brother went to rehab in 2002 and has a history of using drugs and misbehaving under alcohol.
Harry confesses he got so drunk during a 2012 trip to
Las Vegas his security team prevented him from getting a tattoo on his foot!
And a former soldier posted to St. James’s Palace now reveals the prince got “blind drunk” and set off the security alarm in the guardroom after a night on the town. Harry, he says, had to be helped to his room by two guards.
Sources say Harry gave up alcohol during his wife Meghan’s pregnancy with Archie, 3. A lot has transpired since then. The couple left Britain for America and settled in a $14.7 million mansion in the celebrity enclave of Montecito, Calif. They welcomed daughter Lilibet, now 18 months old, into the family. They’ve been waging a PR war with their royal relatives, spilling relentless revelations about how The Firm did them wrong.
“If Harry’s cooped up at home and hitting the bottle, he needs healthier ways to unwind when the weight of the world feels too heavy to handle,” says the source.
Meanwhile, in his book acknowledgments, Harry had booze on the brain when he thanked his “special friends” in the U.K. “who stuck by amongst the fog,” promising, “Next round’s on me!”
