MURDAUGH MASSACRE!

Bloody scene cops found after lawyer’s wife & son died by gunshot wounds

-

SMOKING gun body camera footage shows disgraced South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh desperately trying to pin the blame for his wife and son’s brutal murders on anyone but him in the frantic moments after cops arrived at the grisly crime scene.

Responding to Murdaugh’s 10:06 p.m. call on June 7, 2021, police found the wealthy lawyer’s 52-year-old wife, Maggie, shot five times with a rifle near the family estate’s dog kennels and, just yards away, was son Paul, 22, blasted by a 12-gauge shotgun.

Cops say the victims never stood a chance as they were chopped to pieces by the gunfire.

In a sensational video obtained by GLOBE, the 64-year-old lawyer, who claimed to find the bodies, can be seen telling police the motive behind the stomachchurning massacre of Paul and Maggie was some sort of bloody revenge for a drunken boating accident in 2019 where his boy crashed his runabout, killing teenage passenger Mallory Beach.

“This is a long story. My son was in a boat wreck months back — he’s been getting threats,” Murdaugh tells Colleton County Sgt. Daniel Greene while standing just feet away from the bleeding bodies of his wife and son. “Most of it’s been benign stuff we didn’t take serious.”

Still, he adds, “I know that’s what it is.”

At his trial, prosecutors claimed Murdaugh’s remarks were a bald-faced lying attempt to mislead investigators probing the brutal slayings of Paul and Maggie, who were killed less than an hour before at the family’s 1,772acre rural estate in Islandton.

Prosecutors accused the cheating attorney of killing his wife and child in cold blood in a shameful attempt to steer lawmen’s attention away from his vast, long-running skulduggery as a local political power broker.

They argued Murdaugh was about to be accused of crimes including money laundering and stealing millions from clients and his own family law firm. He has also been linked to five unsolved murders now

under investigation.

Meanwhile, his attorneys defend the wealthy mouthpiece by insisting the June 2021 body camera footage proves investigators failed to properly follow up on Murdaugh’s side of the story and also confirms cops contaminated the crime scene by repeatedly stomping through it.

Murdaugh — who is also accused of staging his own murder so his 26-year-old surviving son, Buster, could collect on a $10 million life insurance policy — pleaded not guilty to the horrific charges that carry a 30-yearsto-life sentence.

Chicago cop turned Hollywood private eye Paul Huebl found Murdaugh’s blabbermouth behavior in the moments just after the police’s arrival to be fishy — noting an attorney, who was a potential suspect, would not talk so much at the scene of a crime.

“I’m shocked a guy who became a lawyer said anything at all to the police,” says Huebl.

“We know that 95 percent of the people behind bars wouldn’t be there if they’d kept their mouth shut and only asked for a lawyer.

“So, I find it strange someone with such experience in handling such matters would be so verbal and defensive with cops just after their arrival to the scene.”
