ROM-COM queen Reese Witherspoon is looking fit and sexy after swearing off alcohol as part of a new health kick to get her career in high gear, sources say.
The 46-year-old babe, now starring with hunky Ashton Kutcher in Your Place or Mine, flaunted luscious legs and a tight jawline at the recent premiere of the new Netflix movie, with sources snitching she’s given her lifestyle a “total overhaul” in an effort to turn back the clock.
“She used to be very easygoing about her diet, and ate and drink what she wanted, but now she’s gone the other way and become super strict about everything,” blabs an insider.
“She’s even pretty much cut out the booze, which is a huge change for her.”
The Legally Blonde beauty’s partying has landed her in hot water in the past.
In 2013, the Walk the Line Oscar winner was arrested for disorderly conduct after producer-husband Jim Toth, 52, was pulled over under suspicion of DUI after a night out in Atlanta.
She later admitted to being “embarrassed” over the incident that saw her caught on video drunkenly demanding of the officer, “Do you know my name?”
Later, in 2019, the mom of Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, with first hubby Ryan Phillippe and Tennessee, 10, with Toth, was photographed falling down the stairs after celebrating The Morning Show co-star Jennifer Aniston’s birthday.
But the insider says: “She’s all about being healthy now and she doesn’t want all the calories from the alcohol. She still enjoys a tipple but barely if ever drinks at home.
A big help has been regular workouts with Toth, who she wed in 2011.
“But what’s changed is her diet. She’d hit the gym every day but fill up on late-night snacks and bottles of wine,” says the source.
“But those days of slugging back cocktails and eating badly are long gone. This is the best shape she’s been in for years and she’s loving the results.”
