GAL, 52, SPENDS $200G FOR IVF BABY
Took six years for her dream to come true
MIRACLE mom Luise Hoehn gave birth at the over-the-hill age of 52 — after trying and failing to get pregnant six times with artificial fertilization costing a whopping $200,000!
The Lowell, Mass., gal delivered son Stellan to overjoyed hubby Dean Biele, 47, as a very special Christmas Day gift following heartbreaking years of trying with in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Born at eight months from a donor egg, Stellan weighed 4 pounds, 15 ounces and is “so calm and peaceful,” says his thrilled mom.
Before that, the couple shelled out $75,000 for donor eggs for six rounds of IVF costing $115,000.
Luise, who worked as a nanny, first hooked up with Dean at age 37, in 2007, but didn’t think about having kids.
Then nine years later, at 46, they married and decided to go for parenthood.
They weren’t having any luck getting pregnant and when her period stopped for two months, she got frantic.
“Thankfully it wasn’t the start of menopause, but the scare made me stop waiting for something to happen naturally,” she says.
The couple began IVF treatments in 2017 using her eggs, all ending in failure.
Finally in 2019, she switched to donor eggs.
She searched a number of agencies and found the perfect one.
“I am over the moon with the donor, she matches me perfectly,” gushes Luise. “Ethnically, she could be my sibling. But also her personality and characteristics meant she was an ideal match for what I was looking for.”
In May 2022, the first embryo was transferred, and eight days later — BINGO —Luise was preggers!
Her only regret is not freezing her own eggs when she was younger. Now, the excited parents plan to start trying for No. 2 later this year!
She says she hopes her success “inspires other … older women.
“We paid more for IVF than we did for our house, but becoming parents is priceless.
“He is an absolute joy for us.”
