Join forces to plot his ouster
FOX News upstarts Tucker Carlson and Greg Gutfeld have formed a wicked buddy-buddy pact to take down old school rival Sean Hannity.
Sources snitch 53-year-old Tucker’s had it in for Sean, 61, for years, and the network’s new favorite Gutfeld, 58, is also no Hannity fan.
By joining forces, the devious duo think they’ll finally have leverage over Hannity, who helped put the network on the map and has the ear of FOX founder Rupert Murdoch, insiders say.
“Gutfeld and Carlson hate the way the guy walks around like he owns the place,” spills an insider. “To them, he’s a dinosaur, and they’re plotting his downfall.
“They’ve formed a pact about undercutting him to bosses whenever they can. They haven’t made any ultimatums yet, but the day will come when they’ll force bosses to choose between the past or the future.”
Spies say the new tag team especially resents that Sean makes the biggest bucks — even though Tucker beats him in the ratings and Gutfeld rules late-night TV!
Hannity earns a staggering $45 million a year from FOX News and his radio show, compared to Tucker’s $35 million annually and Greg’s $19 million.
Their sudden love affair with each other has FOX workers “rolling their eyes,” notes the insider. “The way these guys pal around and giggle together is disgusting.
“Greg know if he hitches his wagon to Tucker, he’s better off. On their own, they’re weak. Together, they’re a dynamite duo.” As GLOBE recently reported, Tucker and Sean landed in hot water after network CEO Murdoch admitted some
FOX talking heads “endorsed” Donald Trump’s election fraud lies on-air, even though they privately didn’t believe them.
Murdoch’s explosive underoath revelation came in a deposition for a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit by Dominion voting machines, which accuses network pundits of repeatedly lying on-air by claiming their equipment illegally flipped Trump votes to Joe Biden in the 2020 election. “Some people feel Tucker’s got a lot of nerve trying to throw Sean under the bus when he’s in just as much trouble and also think Greg should stay out of it,” huffs the spy. “But FOX is a cutthroat environment — and it’s kill or be killed.”
