Super-tight girdles & giant boobs are recipe for disaster
DESPERATE Dolly Parton is in a terrible bind — her corsets are causing crippling back pain but she’s so vain she won’t stop wearing the girdles that give her an hourglass figure, spies snitch.
The buxom 77-year-old Jolene singer has endured terrible torture for years to achieve a waspish 18-inch waist, according to sources who claim her huge and heavy 36DD breast implants only add to Dolly’s agony.
“Dolly’s still got horrendous back pain from her plastic boobs, which are simply too big for her 5-foot frame, and all those corsets she wears aren’t helping,” spills an insider.
“She’s been wearing the contraptions since the ’70s because she likes a cinched-in waist to accentuate her hips, bust and behind, not to mention the big hair.
“Her closet is brimming with corsets, but they’re causing her endless pain and affecting her posture because she can’t stand straight if she’s feeling miserable. Dolly especially insists on cinching herself up for performing onstage, claiming corsets make her look feminine.”
Country music’s reigning queen also likes to boast hubby Carl Dean can span his hands around her tiny torso, says the insider, who claims, “People around her are urging her to let loose and be more natural because all this spine hell is not worth it.”
While Dolly’s rep insists talk of girdle-related health issues is “dumb,” sources say the fear is she’ll need spine surgery — or wind up crippled.
Medical experts say damage done by wearing corsets includes curvature of the spine, poor digestion, atrophied back muscles and deformed rib cage.
As GLOBE previously reported, she’s already exposed to health risks including brittle bone disease from her yo-yo dieting and being an underweight 98 pounds.
The Here You Come Again singer has undergone a slew of plastic surgeries to enhance her looks — a brow lift, work on her eyelids and chin, a nose job and new boobs.
Her surgeon Dr. John Grossman admits, “She has a generous bosom, which I augmented some years ago. She’s had her face rejuvenated on a number of occasions, not a full facelift.”
Dolly jokes it “costs a lot of money to look this cheap.”
But the source warns, “She could be in for a serious back operation if she doesn’t throw those corsets away!”
