WHEEL BIGS CHOKE ON SAJAK ANTICS!
Host on brink of heave-ho after bizarre new incidents
QUIRKY Pat Sajak’s days on Wheel of Fortune are numbered after his bizarre hot-tempered antics — putting one contestant in a neck lock and losing it with another for not solving a puzzle quicker, insiders dish.
All the new drama comes after sources recently told GLOBE the troubled 76-yearold game show host was urged by his bosses to take anger management therapy following a slew of other incidents that ticked off co-workers, viewers and even Sajak’s mild-mannered sidekick, Vanna White.
An insiders claims Pat appears to have learned nothing from the directive to keep his hair-trigger temper in check and warns “bosses are very close to giving him the ax! They want him gone. He’s been given so many chances to correct his behavior, but he doesn’t seem to care or, worse, remember any of it, which is raising health concerns!” Another source notes Sajak “sometimes appears to forget where or who he is or who he’s talking to. He has trouble reading the prompters and becomes confused and irritable. It’s like he’s losing his mind.”
The game show frontman’s latest faux pas came during the March 21 segment when he suddenly grabbed winner Fred around the neck and pinned his arm behind his back.
Fred had mentioned he was a drama teacher as well as bar trivia host and professional wrestler, and the last clearly set Pat off.
“Pat had the poor guy in a neck lock, as if he was a pro wrestler,” dishes the insider. “He probably thought it was funny, but no one was laughing,” although Fred insisted he didn’t mind one bit.
On the next episode, sassy Sajak yelled at contestant Nicole to finish a puzzle quicker.
After she did, he mocked her, saying: “It’s a horrible moment when you know that, ‘Everyone in America knows what this is, why don’t I?’”
