BIG BLOOPERS PUT KEN IN JEOPARDY! Now Mayim’s poised for kill
JEOPARDY’S Mayim Bialik is gloating as her rival co-host Ken Jennings’ snooty and snappish behavior turns off fans and bosses, insiders squeal.
After months of wrangling with the 48-year-old game show champ behind the scenes, a source says brainiac Mayim, 47, “has finally got the upper hand” to win total control over the late Alex Trebek’s hosting gig.
For a while, “Ken managed to sway fans to his side, but now his bratty personality has taken over — and he’s making mistakes,” spills a spy.
Jennings got slammed hard after he snappishly told a contestant his answer was wrong, and then told another player, who buzzed in seconds later, her answer was right. The problem was — each contestant gave the SAME response to the clue: “After the Last Supper, Jesus traveled to this garden to pray & was arrested there.” Both players answered Gethsemane, only with different pronunciations, and, amazingly, neither was correct despite Jennings’ declaration. Fans blasted Ken for not handling the moment better, especially after he mispronounced the answer too!
Now “Ken’s coming across as slimy and awkward and fans are reacting unfavorably,” dishes the insider. “He’s gotten in trouble for his insensitive remarks before. However, he seems annoying and conceited. He’s losing support while Mayim’s popularity is growing.”
The neuroscientist and star of the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory has been dueling with Ken, with each wanting to be the solo host of Jeopardy.
“She was waiting for this to happen,” notes the insider. “She knew what he was like and what a phony he was, always kissing up to the bosses, and they’re seeing a different side to him now.
“She’s gloating, and certain Ken won’t last long if he keeps this up and she’ll get the solo gig that she deserves.”
