T.J. & AMY HAVE A LOTTA NERVE!

Straying anchors play victim card

-

WHETHER the romance between former Good Morning America co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes — who were married to other people — is okay is up for debate, but it’s pretty clear their ongoing “poor us” pity party is simply shameful.

Last month, the wayward lovebirds kicked off their new iHeart Radio podcast series by whining about how much they suffered — including getting axed by GMA — because of their forbidden fling.

Amy, 50, played the pulling at the heartstrings card by recalling how she feared for T.J.’s life after the news of their secret affair became public a year ago.

As GLOBE previously reported, T.J. says he bolted from the studio at 11 a.m. and began “pounding vodka” and gobbling cannabis chewies to deal with the stress of a ruined marriage and career.

Amy claimed she was frantic for his safety because T.J. sent a text saying, “I’m sorry. You were the love of my life. I’m so sorry,” and the entire message was written in “past tense.”

Robach recalls, “And I texted back: ‘You’re scaring me. Please, tell me you’re okay.’ No response. I call, he doesn’t answer.”

Amy says she rushed to his apartment and was “shaking” when she got the doorman to let her into his pad, where she found him sprawled on his bed and touched his body to “see if [he] was still warm. I was so afraid.”

Sounds like a scene out of a movie — and some critics are claiming it’s fiction, arguing: If they were so much in love and still had each other, why would he want to kill himself? It’s a fair question.

Meanwhile, Amy fails to mention the two actual victims — her former Melrose Place star hubby, Andrew Shue, and T.J.’s second wife, Marilee Fiebig, who actually did something rash. Andrew and Marilee are now dating each other after bonding over the humiliation and pain of being dumped.

While Amy and T.J. shouldn’t be hammered for falling in love — they’re not the first co-workers to do it — their attempt to play the victim card is outrageous. Even when you’re a celeb, actions have consequences.
