She’s pushing issue, but he feels too old
DEMANDING diva Jennifer Lopez is doubling down on her demand to start a family with Ben Affleck — saying she’s waited long enough, according to pals who claim her henpecked hubby’s no longer on board with her baby dream and the marriage has hit a new roadblock!
“Baby Bennifer has always been a part of J.Lo’s plan,” notes a source. “At her age, people assume she’ll use a surrogate, but with the help of science she could still have a baby herself and that’s what she’d prefer.
“Either way, she’s got her heart set on it, so now that Ben’s changed his mind, it’s a big issue.”
The sexy 54-year-old songbird and the 51-year-old Justice League hunk, who finally got hitched in 2022 after calling off their 2003 wedding, were hot to have a kid when they first tied the knot but that’s “changed,” tattles a tipster.
“J.Lo has talked openly about it since before they got married and at first Ben seemed to be into the idea,” the mole squeals.
“But then a few months ago, when she started to get serious about taking the next step, Ben did a 180 and started throwing up all these roadblocks.
“They’re at a standstill, but J.Lo hasn’t stopped pushing and won’t, which, of course, isn’t great for their relationship that’s already seen a lot of ups and downs.”
The insider says the Batman hunk lost patience with the baby-making process when J.Lo “kept changing her mind about the surrogate. They had a lot of fights over it and he grew tired of the whole plan, which seems to be as much about proving their love is real as having a child.”
Ben, who has two teenagers and a tween with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, started facing up to the reality of having a baby at his age and is now saying he’s just too old, says the source.
“It would be one thing if J.Lo was making it smooth and easy, but that’s just not her style,” says the insider. “It’s become a nightmare.”
