MADONNA’S A BIG FLOP!

Comeback tour hits the skids

-

MADONNA’S comeback Celebration World Tour suffered a huge flop — when the Material Girl took a nasty spill onstage while wailing her hit Open Your Heart.

The shocking incident came as the 65-year-old pop queen was sitting on a chair that was supposed to be dragged by a male dancer down a long section of the stage at a Seattle concert.

Unfortunately, the dancer, who was dressed in drag with high heels, turned out to be a real fall guy as he lost control and he, the songbird and the chair toppled onto the arena’s stage.

The singer immediately sprang to her feet and continued her performance, but the crash seemed to be another part of the gloom and doom that’s been haunting the Like a Virgin singer since summer.

As GLOBE reported, the star was found by her friend Shavawn passed out and “unresponsive” at her Big Apple home in June and was rushed to a hospital, where she was placed in the intensive care unit due to a bacterial infection.

Docs put her in an “induced coma for 48 hours” before she was revived and released.

“I don’t even remember,” she says of her dangerous collapse. “I passed out on my bathroom floor and woke up in the ICU.”

She recalls “when I first became conscious I saw my six incredible children sitting around me,” Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, 18, Mercy, 17, and 11-year-old twins Estere and Stella.

Later, she told a concert audience about her brush with death, saying: “No one is more surprised that I have made it this far than me. I didn’t think I was gonna make it this summer, but here I am.”

Then came the gloomy report that the ticket sales for the Celebration tour were soft, plenty of upper tier seats were going for cheap and Madonna stood to lose millions.

She’s also being sued by two fans who were furious because she was hours late at one of her concerts. Madonna blames the delay on “production issues” and vows “to defend this case vigorously.”

“Thankfully, perseverance is a great substitute for talent.” — Steve Martin
