LOYAL Kelly Ripa’s ferocious, blind defense of her scandal-scarred pal Andy Cohen — who’s accused of sex abuse and snorting cocaine with some of his Real Housewives of New York City stars — has triggered fears the talk chatterbox may have torpedoed her red-hot career!
The perky 53-year-old Live! host rushed to the defense of the 55-year-old Bravo bigwig after former Housewives star Leah McSweeney claimed he did cocaine with her co-stars on the set.
Furious Kelly blurted out, “I’ve never seen a drug around him. It’s like the most … I’m so offended by it. I’m so angry over it.”
But a source slammed Kelly’s knee-jerk response, saying, “This could blow up in her face, depending on the results of the investigation! Nobody can understand this. Why not take a more measured response and wait to make a judgment until all the evidence comes out?”
Andy has already faced sex harassment claims from former Housewife Brandi Glanville, who claims the executive producer of the reality franchise sent her a video in 2022 where he “boasted” about wanting to “sleep with another Bravo star” while “thinking” of her — and then invited her to watch!
Meanwhile, Leah’s court filing claims Andy “colluded” with her co-stars to drive her to drink.
Leah further accuses Cohen and the e network of using her alcoholism to boost ratings. TV mogul Cohen has slammed the charges as “completely false,” branding them “reckless and diabolical.”
Insiders say others at Live! — including her 53-year-old co-host husband, Mark Consuelos — want Kelly to keep her yap shut until all the facts are revealed.
They believe Kelly’s def defense of her longtime f friend was ill-timed and poorly thought out, insiders dish.
“Kelly needs to r remember her audien ence is women, and defending a man who has been accused of doing awful things to women just isn’t smart,” the source spills.

SCREEN wiseguy Robert De Niro loves linking up with co-star pals like Leonardo DiCaprio, Harvey Keitel and Al Pacino, but sources say it infuriates his young baby mama Tiffany Chen, who thinks they’re a bunch of doddering old fools and a bad influence.
