Creep busted for torturing kidnapped gal
WACKO Walter Medina kidnapped a female panhandler in Florida and kept her as his torture slave for two terrifying months — until the brave gal made a daring run for freedom, lawmen say.
The abused woman, whose name is being withheld by authorities, sprinted from 48-year-old Medina’s minivan in Seffner when he left the vehicle to go into a store, authorities allege.
According to the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office, the down-on-her-luck dame said she’d been looking for handouts in Tampa when the psycho lured her into his clutches with food and drugs.
Once she was trapped in the louse’s lair, the bearded brute beat her with a baseball bat and broke numerous ribs, left her with puncture wounds from a screwdriver and inflicted other injuries, investigators charge.
Responding officers report the human punching bag had bruises across her face and body.
“I can’t imagine the torture this victim endured for months, but I can imagine the relief she felt when our deputies arrived,” notes Sheriff Chad Chronister.
“I have to commend the bravery of the victim for escaping her captor and seeking help.”
Cops say Medina fled as soon as he realized his prisoner had escaped — but the monster was nabbed after a highway chase!
The suspect was charged with armed kidnapping, attempted murder in the second degree and armed false imprisonment.
