Troubled daughter tangles with law again, leaving own baby in jeopardy
HEARTBROKEN Wynonna Judd is set to raise her little grandchild Kaliyah after the country singer’s jailbird daughter, Grace Pauline Kelley, was busted for flashing her boobs and her privates on a busy Alabama road.
In a bizarre April 5 incident, troubled 27-year-old Grace, whose dad is Wynonna’s first husband, Arch Kelley III, was arrested by police, who say she was showing her boobs and genitals to passing vehicles at a busy highway intersection!
Police say Grace refused to reveal her identity, and was booked on misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure and obstructing government operations.
While the crimes seem minor, the incident may mean more big trouble for Wynonna’s daughter, who has already served five stints in prison in the past seven years.
“This could be another parole violation that sends her back to the slammer,” a source dishes. “It’s been a revolving door for Grace.”
And continuous heartache for Wynonna, who a friend says is chiefly concerned with her first granddaughter, who turned two on April 13.
Grace got knocked up while on parole in 2021, but went through her pregnancy behind bars while serving 16 months on yet another probation violation in 2021.
She had her baby shower in prison and was granted a furlough to have Kaliyah, born just two weeks before her famous and deeply depressed great-grandmother Naomi Judd tragically blew her brains out.
Grace served another five months on a parole violation last year and Wynonna largely tended to Kaliyah, the friend says.
“Wynonna has tried being a pal to Grace, she’s tried tough love — everything,” the friend spills. “She is just at her wits’ end.
“It’s hard for her to imagine she’s going to turn her life around to the point where she can be a good mother.
“Wynonna is ready to raise Kaliyah herself if it comes to that!”
