BARBRA’S FAT IS IN THE FIRE!

Backlash over tacky comment about Melissa’s big weight loss

-

SUPER diva Barbra Streisand got caught in a firestorm for rudely asking online if newly slim Melissa McCarthy’s eye-popping weight loss was due to the diet-craze drug Ozempic.

The 82-year-old music legend lit the inferno when svelte Melissa, 53, posted snaps on Instagram of her and director-choreographer Adam Shankman attending an April 28 Center Theatre Group Gala in L.A.

The Funny Girl failed to get any laughs when she posted, “Give him [Shankman] my regards — did you take Ozempic?”

Backlash came swiftly as outraged posters blasted the showbiz icon as a “major Boomer aunt” for thinking she was chatting with Melissa over coffee and cookies in the kitchen.

“Does she not know everyone can see her comments?” one poster says.

Writes another, “Babs. No, honey. Just no.”

A third posts: “Babs typing away on IG like my elderly mom telling me she texted someone something, and me explaining: ‘No, mom, you wrote it on Facebook on your wall for all to see.’”

Streisand quickly removed her blunder, but posters, like elephants, couldn’t forget.

Bridesmaids star Melissa didn’t answer Babs or comment on Ozempic, but the 5-foot-2 funnygal admitted shedding 75 pounds without “insane diets” or excessive exercise. She’s previously said she’s “been every size on the planet.”

Early on, she dropped 70 pounds on an all-liquid diet and in 2015 lost 50 because “I truly stopped worrying about it.

“I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked.”
