Charlene Ann Patterson Sprague

Charlene Ann Patterson Sprague: died November 13, 2018 in Sandy Hook, CT of breast cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Born June 2, 1931 in Akron, OH, the daughter of Leroy and Grace Patterson. Wife of the late John N. Sprague of Pelham, NY. Charlene was a TWA stewardess from 1952 to 1960. She married John and moved to Pleasantville, NY. She and her family moved to Greenwich in 1972 and Charlene eventually worked for Brad Hvolbeck and then Pickering Associates real estate before the family moved again to the suburbs outside of Detroit, MI in 1984. Charlene and John retired to beautiful Beaufort, SC in 1995, where they lived until her husband’s passing. In her final years Charlene moved in with and was cared for by her son in Newtown, CT.

Charlene is survived by her children Valerie S. Pinto of Greenwich, CT, and Geoffrey N. Sprague of Sandy Hook, CT. Funeral to be held: 11:00 a.m. on Dec. 7, 2018 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Pleasantville, NY. Reception afterwards.
