On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, Scott S. A. Coby, dedicated husband and loving father of three children, passed away on the family property in Keene, NY. Scott, aged 75, was born on September 7th, 1943 in New York City to Walter and Silva (née Kisovic) Cobi.

After graduation from Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ, Scott attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvan­ia from which he graduated in 1967. After two years working on Wall Street in both equity research and corporate finance department­s, Scott entered the US Army as a Second Lieutenant and served on the General Staff in Worms, Germany. Scott completed his military service in 1971 and was honorably discharged, having achieved the rank of Captain.

After the Army, Scott returned to Wall Street and further developed his career, managing various government bond trading operations throughout the 1980s. In 1990, Scott establishe­d the first of several of his own companies focused on providing corporate finance services to emerging technology companies.

Scott had a passion for the shooting sports and the outdoors. He was one of the youngest recipients of the Distinguis­hed Rifleman award in the US, was invited to participat­e in the US Olympic Trap Team selection matches, and was in a shoot-off for first place at the 1988 Pigeon World Championsh­ips in Portugal.

Scott is survived by his wife of 49 years, Francine Campbell Coby; his two sons: Scott Jr., married to Anne-Laure, and Laird, married to Brooke, and his daughter, Catherine, recently married to Robert Hughes. Scott was a loving grandfathe­r, and cherished his four beautiful granddaugh­ters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, 382 Cantitoe Street, Bedford, NY 10506.
