Weekend of short plays

The newly founded Greenwich Theatre Company will present “7 Easy Pieces,” a collection of short plays written by Jack Rushton that explores the theme of relationsh­ips and the human need for fulfillmen­t. Family gallery tours

The Bruce Museum, 1 Museum Drive, host Family Gallery Tours from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Sundays. The tours are geared for kids ages 6-10. Free with regular admission, and no registrati­on is required. Visit bruce museum.org for more info.

Howl & Prowl

Pet Pantry Warehouse will host the 12th annual Howl & Prowl in support of Adopt-aDog on Sunday at 290 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich Commons Park. The family-owned business invites all to enjoy a free afternoon in support of the rescue organizati­on. Attendees can register to enter a fundraisin­g costume contest for both pets and people at $20, with prizes totaling $600 in Pet Pantry gift certificat­es. Howl & Prowl includes costume contests, activities for kids, pet food samples and giveaways. Pet Pantry will host a “Bone Bar” pop-up with assorted treats for the dogs. Talk on Israeli history

“Be Strong and of Good Courage: A Conversati­on with Dennis Ross and David Makovsky” will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Temple Sholom, 300 E. Putnam Ave. Their presentati­on will highlight four towering figures in Israeli history who “took great risks for an elusive peace” and why those qualities are needed in our current time. This program is part of Temple Sholom’s Speaker Series and is sponsored by an anonymous donor. ‘Stone Soup’ puppet show

The Robert Rogers Puppet Show will present “Stone Soup” from 3:30 to 4:30 Monday at the Byram Shubert Library Community Room. In the story, centuries ago, a young soldier walking home from a distant battlefiel­d came upon a village of fearful people who refused to give him food, let alone, a shelter for the night. And now, in this musical version of the famous folk tale, he uses his wits to create a remarkable recipe, the result of which is the most delicious pot of soup. He even finds a way to make new friends.

Men’s Health

Dr. Frank Loria, an internist, will discuss “Movember: Men’s Physical and Emotional Health” from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in Greenwich Hospital’s Noble Conference Center.

“Movember” was named to raise awareness of men’s health issues such as prostate and testicular cancers, depression and suicide. Lecture on ‘Classical Americana’

The Greenwich Decorative Arts Society will present “Modernism and Native American Art,” a lecture by John Molloy, president of Antique Tribal Art Dealers Associatio­n. Duplicate Bridge Games

Bruce Beginnings

Bruce Beginnings is a program for children ages 2.5 to 5 with an adult at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Bruce Museum. Explore the museum collection­s and exhibition­s through picture books and hands-on activities. This program takes place on the museum’s free admission day and space is limited. Cello concert inspired by brushwork

The Bruce Museum and Greenwich Arts Council are partnering to present a concert by cellist Kenneth Kuo on Nov. 6. He will be performing works inspired by the pieces exhibited in “Contempora­ry Artists/Traditiona­l Forms: Chinese Brushwork” at the Bruce. The evening will begin at the Bruce with an afterhours viewing of the exhibition and light refreshmen­ts beginning at 5 p.m. The evening continues at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenwich Arts Council, 299 Greenwich Ave., as Kuo performs accompanie­d by pianist Matthieu Cognet.
