The most important issue in this election: The BET is responsible for financial oversight. Costs are rising in the operating budget, which requires a review of how we deliver town services. On the capital side, there is a backlog of projects in addition to the schools master plan. Prudent use of debt financing to make priority capital investments should be part of the discussion.

Other issues: The BET has a key role in making town affairs fully transparent and ensuring that taxpayer funds are being deployed wisely and efficiently. Any remaining issues from internal audits need to be addressed swiftly and appropriately. The BET should also focus on revenue generation in addition to expense management.

Family: Resident since 1994. Married to husband Dave for 30 years. Three adult children all educated K12 in Greenwich Public Schools.

Previous elected offices, community group affiliations: Board of Education (20132017), served one year as Chair. RTM Member ( January 1999December 2011) serving on Finance and Health & Human Services Committees. Past PTA CoPresident Greenwich HS and Riverside. Former board member of Greenwich Alliance for Education. Past Trustee of First Congregational Church of Greenwich. Current board member United Way of Greenwich and Norwalk Community College Foundation.
