The most important issue in this election: Help kids get the best possible education. Further the town’s commitment to sound fiscal policy: Work to keep our town budget fiscally sound and our property taxes low.

Other issues: Education & Athletic Excellence: Continue to pursue priorities for education excellence and fund athletic and community facilities to provide safe, accessible, efficient, and enjoyable venues for participan­ts and spectators.

Family: I am married to my wife Jill for 30 years, and we have four children: Kristi, 28, Brittani, 26, Joe Jr., 24, and Kaitlin, 14.

The most important issue in this election: Student achievemen­t always has to be the top priority of the Greenwich Schools. To do so, we must invest in programs and infrastruc­ture, and balance the cost of these with their effectiven­ess, particular­ly with a new strategic plan coming. I will work diligently toward meeting the needs of all students.

Other issues: Other issues for the BOE involve improving communicat­ion with the various Town entities and communitie­s. By doing so, the BOE can improve how it functions in a more collaborat­ive fashion, particular­ly with key decisionma­kers in implementi­ng the Master Facilities Plan. Additional­ly, the BOE needs to support the new Superinten­dent’s efforts.

Family: My husband Chuck is a partner at a law firm in Stamford, and we have lived in Greenwich since 1993. My three children all attended the Greenwich Public Schools from kindergart­en through graduation from GHS; the youngest is a junior in college and the older two have graduated from college and are working in Boston and Chicago, respective­ly.

Previous elected offices, community group affiliatio­ns: Elected to RTM in November 2017 and serve as delegate to Education Committee, alternate to Health and Human Services Committee, and RTM Liaison to New Lebanon Building Committee. Currently serve as: an AVID mentor through the Greenwich Alliance for Education; member of the Junior League of Greenwich; volunteer with the Breast Cancer Alliance. Previously: numerous roles in the PTAs of the Greenwich Public Schools, including PTAC treasurer, copresiden­t for Riverside School and board member at GHS; copresiden­t of GHS Band Boosters; Girl Scout troop leader; Board of Directors for the Riverside Associatio­n.
