Actor spotted at Greenwich hot spots THE DISH
Scene… Actor Justin Hartley, a star of NBC’s “This Is Us” who has been in the area for weeks filming the Netflix family drama “The Noel Diary,” was seen last weekend dining at Hinoki, a Japanese restaurant on Greenwich Avenue, and later at the bar at The Delamar. Also seen at the two restaurants was WOR radio personality Mark Simone. ‘The Noel Diary’ has filmed in Madison, Essex, New Canaan and Manchester, and Hartley has been spotted a number of times dining in Greenwich.
Music… The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens in Stamford will feature the country band Gunsmoke as part of its Summer Concert Series from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 11. The concert will take place on the Great Lawn, and patrons can bring chairs or a blanket along with a picnic dinner to enjoy. In the event of rain, the concert will take place in the Silver Educational Center. Scene… Greenwich resident and Yes Network host Michael Kay was spotted at the Cos Cob post office last Friday. Unfortunately, the post office was closed for lunch and he could not purchase any Yogi Berra stamps. According to my source, he later verbalized his frustrations on his talk show.
Out there… The Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation is holding its first-ever Fireworks Picnic-in-a-Box fundraiser in conjunction with the fireworks scheduled for Monday, July 5, at Greenwich Point. Picnic boxes can be pre-ordered for curbside pickup from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center on July 5. Catered meals will be available for pickup even if the show is canceled due to bad weather. A total of $20 from each order will be donated to the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation. Out there… Stamford Downtown and the City of Stamford are hosting the annual Fourth of July fireworks display at 9 p.m. Monday, July 5, from the rooftop of the Landmark Building. Residents can tune into Star 99.9 FM for a musical simulcast during the show. There will be no public viewing areas, and gatherings will be prohibited. The show will be visible for miles, allowing residents to safely watch from rooftops, windows, balconies and patios. For

Time to shop… The annual Sidewalk Sales Day, sponsored by the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, take place on Thursday, July 8, through Sunday, July 11. The hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the first three days and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The annual outdoor shopping event will feature bargains, sales and special offers from nearly 100 retail stores,

More music… The Greenwich Historical Society is featuring Music on the Great Lawn with Justine & Jenny Goggin on from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 7. The sisters, who are Greenwich natives, will debut songs from Justine’s new acoustic pop album “Wisteria
