TV judges step out in style at Greenwich’s Sidewalk Sale Days

Scene… America’s favorite judges, Judge Judy Sheindlin and Judge Jerry Sheindlin, who are Greenwich residents, were spotted looking very dapper on Lewis Street in Greenwich during the Sidewalk Sales Days last weekend. The popular event, organized by the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, returned in full force this year.

In concert… The Greenwich Town Party announced its musical lineup for the 10th anniversar­y celebratio­n set to take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. Grammy Award-winning bands The Eagles and the Zac Brown Band will headline the event, with performanc­es from the legendary New Orleans-based Preservati­on Hall Jazz Band and popcountry singer/songwriter Caroline Jones. Previous musical icons who have headlined the GTP include: Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Paul Simon, Buddy Guy, James Taylor, Carlos Santana, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Hall & Oates. To ensure the health and safety of everyone, ticket holders, performers, staff and volunteers must provide proof of one of the following: COVID-19 vaccinatio­n, proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event, or proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid Antigen test taken on the date of the event to gain access to the GTP. Out there… The Greenwich Wine Society is hosting a wine-tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at the Gingerman at 64 Greenwich Ave. The tasting will include tasty hors d’oeuvres and sparkling bubbly as well as a sitdown sampling of summer wines with commentary. Scene… TV host and former New York state judge Jeanine Pirro was seen dining at Polpo Restaurant in Greenwich last week.

Music… The Greenwich Historical Society will feature music on the Great Lawn on Thursday, July 22, with a performanc­e by Fairfield County’s local cover band Suburban Chaos from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Marcia Selden Catering will provide picnics, which must be preordered by Monday for Thursday’s concert.
