TV hosts Jenna Bush Hager, Craig Melvin spotted dining in Greenwich THE

Scene… “Today” show co-host Jenna Bush Hager was seen having lunch at L’escale in Greenwich recently. She lives on Long Island’s North Shore with her husband, Henry, and children, Poppy, Margaret and Hal.

Scene … Athletes from the Special Olympics’ “Team Greenwich,” along with their coach Jamie Warner, stopped by the Jersey Mike’s Subs in Riverside on March 26 in preparatio­n for Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving last Wednesday. On the Day of Giving, 100 percent of all sales were donated to the Special Olympics for the Summer Olympics Games.

Out there… White House press secretary Jen Psaki, a Stamford native, would not confirm media reports that she is leaving the Biden administra­tion later this spring and heading to MSNBC. Psaki, a Class of 1996 graduate of Greenwich High, has served as President Joe Biden’s press secretary since his election in 2021. Before that, she was a political commentato­r for CNN and served as communicat­ions director for the Obama administra­tion.

Dining out… NBC “Today” co-host Craig Melvin, who this past week left his MSNBC duties, and his wife, Fox Sports host Lindsay Czarniak, who live in Westport, were seen having dinner at Gabriele’s of Westport last week. Also seen dining

there on separate occasions were CNN co-host Alisyn Camerota of Westport and MSNBC co-host and “Sunday Today” anchor Willie Geist.

Scene… Stamford native Bobby Valentine was named the State Street Debating Society’s Man of the Year at the 74th anniversar­y testimonia­l dinner on March 22 at the Waters Edge at Giovanni’s in Darien. The former New York Mets manager lost his race last fall for mayor of Stamford.

Out there… The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich will host its annual Youth of the Year event at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 6. The Youth of the Year program was establishe­d in 1969 to recognize club members who give back to their club and community. Last year, Damarys Aceituno, a junior at Greenwich High School, was named as the 53rd recipient of the award. This year’s recipient will be announced at the event. This year’s Champion of Youth honoree is Don Palmer, the club’s vice president of programs and youth developmen­t. For tickets and more info, go to www.bgcg.org.

On the air… New York’s longest-running talk show “The Mark Simone

Show” on 710 WOR-AM boasts the largest radio audience in the city for the 10 a.m. to noon timeslot, according to Simone, a Greenwich resident. Simone can also frequently be seen on Newsmax TV, with host Greg Kelly.

Out there… The Perfect Provenance, which was formerly in Greenwich, is holding a special “Champagne & Shopping” event with an exclusive look at many spring 2022 collection­s.
