Scene… NBA star and Utah Jazz point guard Donovan Mitchell, a Greenwich Country Day School graduate and native of Elmsford, New York, was seen having dinner at Tony's at the J House in Riverside last week. Mitchell appeared at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich in 2010 for LeBron James' announceme­nt to join the Miami Heat.

Out there… Local blues band Billy and the Showmen will be performing at Greenwich Historical Society on Strickland Road in Cos Cob on Friday, June 30, 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. The concert is open to the public. For more info, go www.greenwichh­istory.org.

Scene… Greenwich resident Bill Owens, CBS News' “60 Minutes” Emmy Award-winning executive producer, served as 2022 commenceme­nt speaker at Greenwich High School on Thursday evening. Owens' son and daughter are 2020 and 2021 GHS graduates.

Scene… Famed fashion designer Christian Siriano was seen at Viva Zapata in Westport last Sunday enjoying drinks and dinner with his friends.

Out there… New York Comedy Club will be opening at the Stamford Town Center in mid-December in the mall's restaurant plaza alongside Capital Grille, Peter Chang, Pieology and Puerto Vallarta. The 4,500square-foot comedy club will accommodat­e 150 guests for comedy shows and will include a fullservic­e bar area. Comics will be performing at the Stamford Town Center's upcoming block party on Saturday and Sunday that will feature dance performanc­es, magicians, face painters, food trucks, a beer tent and more.
