Out there … Greenwich resident, author and cartoonist Maria Scrivan will lead a graphic novel workshop for students in grades 4 and up at the Greenwich Library from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday. Scrivan will discuss her background as a cartoonist and how she developed her “Nat Enough” series, including her latest graphic novel “Absolutely Nat.” Her books will be available for purchase courtesy of Diane’s Books. Scene …Grammy Awardwinni­ng singer-songwriter Paul Simon and his wife, singer/songwriter Edie Brickell, sold their 32-acre New Canaan estate with a Georgian mansion for $10.8 million last week. The couple, who paid $16.5 million for the home in 2002, also own a duplex apartment in Manhattan’s Upper West Side; a 30-acre oceanfront compound in the Hamptons, N.Y.; and a 10-acre estate in Allen, Texas.

Out there …Christ Church Greenwich is holding a Grill & Chill: BBQ & Bluegrass Music event at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The rain date is Friday.
