Scene … Award-winning singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper is a 2023 nominee for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Lauper and her husband, actor David Thornton, and their son, rapper Dex (Declyn), were longtime residents of North Stamford on Saddle Hill Road where they resided for over 30 years before moving to New York City.

Out there … The First Congregati­onal Church of Greenwich is presenting a series of organ recitals during March to mark the liturgical season of Lent. Beginning on March 1 at 12:15 p.m., Minister of Music Craig Scott Symons will open the series in the historic Meetinghou­se (sanctuary), and the program will focus on music by female composers. U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame at the 2023 U.S. Figure Skating Championsh­ips in San Jose last month. Known as the “Shib sibs,” the brother and sister team — two-time U.S. champions and three-time World medalists — made mention of their time spent at the Dorothy Hamill rink in Greenwich and in the Greenwich community.
